Hotel Duomo

This is a great hotel in a great location except for a huge safety concern. I tried to go walking at 5:50 am to see the sunrise and discovered that they lock everyone in at night and there is no way to exit the building. The fire exit was blocked by what looked like laundry bags and the front doors and courtyard were locked. This would be horrendous if there was ever a fire.

Professional staff, lovely pastries at breakfast, lots of art from local artists, just a lovely place. However, our bed was extremely firm to the point we could hardly sleep more than an hour at a time trying to find a comfortable position. The bed was the only negative but a good night sleep is what we paid for. We would not stay again.

Outstanding staff! This is what truly sets this hotel apart. Everyone we interacted with was kind, courteous and very informative. I would definitely recommend using their parking for your car. It is only €10 a day and they park and retrieve the car for you. It is just around the corner from the hotel perhaps a 30 second walk we stayed in a junior suite which is the equivalent of an American king sized hotel room. Room was cleaned every day with fresh towels. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices of baked goods yogurt meats and excellent coffee. Typical European continental breakfast with plenty of options. Hotel is incredibly convenient, just around the corner from the Duomo perhaps one minute walk. Close to many restaurants shops and museums. This hotel could not be more conveniently located. Overall the staff was what made this hotel stand out from everything else on our trip. We will definitely return again. Highly recommend!
